Senior Engineer/Scientist - Propulsion
APRI currently has an opening at the level of Senior Engineer/Scientist in the area of advanced
airbreathing propulsion research.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuing development and extension
of APRI's pulse detonation engine work as well as supporting other propulsion related projects. Responsibilites
also include guiding the efforts of other team members and representing APRI during meetings with customers
and at technical conferences. The successful candidate will be called upon to assist with analysis, design, and
test of propulsion systems. Contributions to APRI's proposal-writing efforts are expected, and the successful
candidate will serve as a principal investigator for APRI's propulsion research projects.
Qualifications
A doctorate or equivalent experience in the field of mechanical engineering is required to
successfully carry out the responsibilities of this position. Candidates must have the ability to independently
formulate and carry out research projects. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are also a
requirement. Demonstrated experience in advanced airbreathing propulsion research is required. U.S. Citizinship
may be required.
